Hi, I am Julia. I've been here since August trying to do a restart after regaining lost pounds. As of today I've lost 19 of those. I've been keeping track of my numbers, forcing myself to weigh and report weekly. Making myself face the facts seems to help me.

So the main purpose of my journal is to log the facts. It seems that my signature has gotten too big.

I've done Atkins, KK, Atkins, and now back to Atkins!

Hi Julia! 19 pounds since August is awesome! It looks like you're right on track to meet your December goal.

I started low carbing last April and lost about 30 pounds. But then I spent a good year only half-heartedly following my plan and ended up back into bingeing on a regular basis and gained 10-15 pounds. I finally woke up in October and have been back on track since then (with a couple of slip ups ).

I like a proverb I read somewhere ... "Fall down seven tmies, get back up eight." That's how I look at all this. As long as I always pick myself up one more time than I fall down, I'm still going in the right direction.

Way to get back up, Julia.

Thanks for visiting Mims. That is the same way I regained. I got a little lazy, wanted some potato chips and treats, then before I knew it all my hard work was blown!

Not quite there on the water, but we're workin' on it!

I made spaghetti for dinner, so I had two chicken sausages with a couple tablespoons sauce and parm. I was so tempted to stick a spoonful of spaghetti in my mouth, but didn't.

I've been working on 20 carb, 2 quarts of water for the last four days and have been able to stick to it. It's simple!

Looks like you're off to a great start Julia. I'm one of the regainer, restarters too. Guess it says something about low carb, that so many of us come back to it when we need to lose weight. I got down around 180 a few years ago with KK. Then gained and then lost it again with modified Atkins and now am back to about 214. This time around, wouldn't it be great to get all the way to goal? Glad to see you headed in the right direction.

Great job! Be proud of your successes so far! Your doing great and looks like your goal is within reach! I as well lost w/ atkins in the past, lost my way, detinatley binged then tried this that and the other thing and am back to atkins.

Not going to lower the goal wt just yet. I actually want to REACH one of my goals! LOL

I'm just trying to stick to this simple plan: 20 Carbs, 2 Quarts.
My calories tend to be around 1000-1200. I keep my protein around 75 or so. Logging in FitDay.

So I want to keep doing this consistently since it seems to be working.

MOCK DANISH

2-3 oz full fat cream cheese
1 lg egg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 pkg sweetener
Put the cream cheese in a small bowl. Microwave 45 seconds to 1 minute. Stir well. Add the rest and stir to mix well. Microwave another 30 seconds. If it looks just a little moist, it's done. Otherwise, stir and microwave another 30 seconds. If you want more protein, you can use 2 eggs, I use one extra large.

I must be starving today! I've had breakfast and lunch already. At least it was all on plan.

So far:
B 2 coffee w cream, 2 scrambled eggs w lc toast & mayo
L tuna, chopped onion & celery, mayo, mustard, dill relish, hot tea

I guess I'll just have chicken and broth for dinner because I've already hit my 20 carb limit! Of course I can enjoy as much water as I want!

Hubby's home with an awful cold. I just know I'm gonna catch it...yuk.

I have those kind of days too where I could just eat down the house, LOL!

If you want to cutback on your carb count, maybe use Truvia ... it's NO carbs per packet compared to the one carb per packet of Splenda or Sweet n Low. You can also bake with it and I love it!

Thanks, I do use Stevia from time to time. But in my hot tea I use little 1/4 grain saccharin in an 18 ounce soup mug and nothing in my coffee. I popped my carb count up with the sprouted grain bread that I use for toast. It's really good, but sucks up my carbs!

My house smells wonderful with the simmering chicken! I'm drinking lots of hot tea today to stay warm. I do not like the cold!

I did have my chicken and broth for dinner. It was very good. Just couldn't get all my water in today...
