Good one. It looks like it covers what everyone is asking.

This leptin topic sure took off. The thread on Mark's site is on fire.
On Sept 1 I also added a Leptin FAQ blog that you might find helpful as well.

This fully answers the issues with leptin and IFing.

Awesome, thanks.

It's about time someone wrote about some facts concerning IF vs LS.

Medical products have to have warning labels and facts sheets for a reason. Websites do not. This is what wrecks it for Martin at Leangains. He has good info, but his enthusiasm exceeds his knowledge and he's selling his IF to everyone and making fun of critics. Overall, its a disaster of epic proportions.

I have lost track of how many people who are in a state of LR, and a hormone wreck asking for help on how to IF better. Some of them just started extending their IFs to days, or at least more than 24 hrs. The Martin's Morons who blindly follow this stuff were only encouraging this.

It was painful to read. This blog was a great step in the right direction. I tried to speak up and help out a bit but got shouted down by Martin's Morons. It's pretty clear that saying something about it was the right thing to do. I wish this blog would have been out there a few months ago!

I sent Martin a tweet about it and he really liked it.

That's cool.

I'm sure Martin is a smart guy. He just does not seem to be experienced enough to be taking his own n=1 and distributing it to the masses without knowing "the fine print." I don't think he understands leptin, rT3, or any of that. He is lucky that he doesn't need to know it, but there is a big difference in figuring yourself out and writing for everyone.

His readers are much worse than he is. Martin is not the real problem. They read his stuff and if it works for them, they can't understand that there is such a thing as rushing into it, or fixing your problems first.

Even while some of the "don't rush into this" debates were going on, I STILL saw people join forums and go (for example) "I can't lose weight. I'm hypothyroid, 275, and low T. I have been doing 24 hr IF. Should I go to 36?" Then the IF folks were all, "Hey go for it. Free yourself from the shackles of food eating schedules. It's awesome. Do it!"

What a crazy world.
