Sugar Free Red Bull and Carbs

I am curious about the carb count in Sugar Free Red Bull. An 8 ounce can has 3 grams of carbs, but it is sugar free and gluten free.

Ingredients:
carbonated water, sodium citrate, taurine, glucuronolactone, caffeine, acesulfame k, aspartame, inositol, xanthan gum, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hcl, vitamin b12, artificial flavors, colors

Nutritional Info:
serving size 1 can;
calories 10;
fat 0g;
sodium 200mg;
total carb 3g;
sugars og;
protein less than 1g;
niacin 100%;
vitamin b6 250%;
vitamin b12 80%;
pantothenic acid 50%

So are those 3 carbs from the inositol, which my body would pass like it does sugar alcohols, or are those 3 genuine carbs I would need to count in my daily count?

I'd say they're sugar alcohols from the inositol...the clue is that it ends in "-itol."

So since sugar alcohols don't bother me or hinder ketosis or weight loss in me, then this is probably fine?

I would think so. Go for it (if you can stand the taste).

I was in a MAJOR wreck tonight on the way home (someone rear ended me while I was at a dead stop. They were going about 50 miles an hour). My 2 year old daughter and I are fine, but the truck is messed up. The lady that hit us TOTALED her truck and broke her hand.

Anyway, about 2 hours before that I had 16 ounces of the Sugar Free Red Bull, went home after all that wreck business, mowed the yard, got a haircut, took a shower, and I'm still in ketosis. So, I guess they're fine for me. Oh, and I like how they taste. To my tongue they taste kind of "grapefruity".

Thank goodness you are all ok! Trucks can be fixed or replaced, but people can take a long time to heal. Take it easy for a bit. Be kind to yourself.

Here's a couple of the fun photos. Better than a carnival ride!

Glad to see you're okay. And as far as energy drinks go, Donnie likes Monster Lo Carb and you get the same amount of carbs, but twice the quantity since they're 16 oz each. Might want to try them.

Glad you are okay, Rev! I used to have a mustang convertible years ago and was stopped to turn onto my street and a lady rear ended me going about the same speed. I had to have some back therapy and my sister got a blood clot in her leg-healed fine, praise the lord!! You never know what life is going to throw your way!

As far as the red bull goes...I used to drink it a lot. Now, it's not my favorite. Im never totally certain that stuff like that is good for me so I feel a sense of discomfort when I drink it. These days I stick to coffee because it's cheaper and there are some redeeming health qualities associated with it. However, I seriously doubt the SF RB is going to hurt your weight loss progress.

By the way, are you sore this morning?

Nope, not really, though my head is pounding. I got a call right before I went to bed last night about one of my church members going to the ER, so I had to deal with that last night, so I AM exhausted.

Before I was called into ministry I was a professional martial arts instructor (I'm a 3rd Degree Black Belt), so my body is used to taking a pounding! I seriously think that's why I'm not sore today. This headache is giving me the business though.
