Do what you have to do, but before you do post your menus so we can help. How many calories did you eat? It's not about necessarily eating lower and lower calories. That would be counterproductive. Are you measuring blood ketones? If so, what levels are you showing? Happy to assist you.

Also, how much do you weigh, how much weight do you need/want to lose, how tall are you and how old are you? All of those things can be factors.

Gaining weight can happen for all sorts of reasons including monthly cycle (for women), water retention due to dehydration, increased blood in your muscles due to increased exercise and so on.

How much weight do you need to lose? if you are already at a lowish weight, maybe you simply don't need to lose more. or perhaps there is something going on in your diet which would be obvious to us but is not clear to you.

As Jimmy said, give us a breakdown of what you are eating and the clever people here will help.

I lost 50 pounds on a ketogenic diet early 2012. I have kept it off ever since on a low carb high fat diet. My weight is now stable and "normal" for the first time in my adult life Tongue

Natosha, I'm sorry you're having trouble. Please don't mind me asking but are the same Natosha that's posted on Mark's Daily Apple in the comments? I think I've seen you there and the worry I have is that, if I recall, you were struggling with an eating disorder on that forum and were trying to lose weight despite being quite thin already. I was worried about you there and I'm worried about you here. It's my honest opinion that the very best thing you could do for your health is seek out counselling if you're not in it already. If your relationship with food and your body is unhealthy, you should not be experimenting with new diets at this point in your life. Learning to love yourself and your body is the biggest gift you can give yourself. The rest will follow.

If you are not the same person, please disregard this post. I just noticed many similarities and was concerned.

I think that if you have an eating disorder you need to get that sorted out with counselling before you embark on any more weightloss. You can't deal with weight issues successfully until the emotional issues are dealt with - believe me...I know!

If you have undereaten for some time and are now eating more - your body will be very confused.I am not surprised it is starting to hold on to the calories. You need to talk to your doctor and devise a plan which will suit your weightloss goals and also get counselling for your food issues. I agree that your current plan of eating is not good. you need vegetables.

Natosha, you omitted one crucial bit of information about yourself: how much do you currently weigh?

Natosha, you're not losing weight on low carb because you need to GAIN weight and your body is trying to tell you that. I'm the same height as you and I'm very thin at 122 pounds. You need to gain about 30-40 pounds, not lose 14 pounds.

Dear G-d, 80 pounds! I want to remind everyone here that anorexia is a psychiatric illness people DIE from (is everyone here too young to remember Karen Carpenter?).

Any adult under 90 lbs is in SERIOUS and IMMEDIATE danger. Natosha needs immediate help far beyond the scope of this forum.

Natosha, when you read this, PLEASE call someone and get help. We cannot help you here, but you must get help immediately.
