This is so true. I have been "talking" to mom a lot since she left. I will mumble things like "Mom, you're not s'posed to die, whose going to listen to me play flute? Who am I going to show my new house to? Who am I going to share my weightloss with." I can't believe she is gone.

Sending you prayers and wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Losing your mom must be one of the hardest things you'll ever endure. HUGS.

SavedOne and Swatkins, thank you so much for your warm wishes. All I can say is this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I can't compare this to any other painful thing that I have ever experienced. Thanks for your love ...I love you all back.

You've spent all your life with her there beside you. And now, suddenly, you must do a 180 degree turn and start traveling without her. It takes a long time for your mind, your heart to make the change even though life has been redirected down this new path. It's painful and shocking.
Still remembering you,
Jane

Thanks Gohim,

I don't expect to be around for a few days. I will be in Ohio for my mom's memorial service. I don't think that I will even be interested to get online until after things get back to normal. That won't be until Monday. I wll be on again tonight though.

We will all be thinking of you and sending prayers for strength for all of you. Stay strong. Many of us have been where you are right now and know how it feels. It does get easier, but will take a while.

Safe trip Mary. You know our thoughts and prayers are right there with you. Try to focus on all the happy times you remember about your Mom. It really does help. Take care. XO Trish

Hello Mary,
Thinking of you and hoping you are doing okay. I lost my MIL about this time last year and my husband still misses her dearly some days. Hope you are having as precious a relationship with your kids as the one you had with your mom.
Truly,
Helen

RE: I have sad news
Hi everyone, your messages have meant so much to me. It is very difficult...it is like the family is walking down the street and mom says, "well, here is my stop, I can't go any further but y'all keep on without me." And we had to let her go. My baby sister, whom I remember coming home as a baby in mom's arms, was her primary caregiver and she did an incredibly loving job of caring for Mom. Anita handled final plans and was responsible for bringing the families together. I must say that mom's memorial was the most pleasant "funeral" I have ever attended. Payers should go to her more than me. Anita had made plans for mom to move into an apartment this month. I remember mom was looking forward to that. "Neet", was making preperations to tour mom's apartment and mom passed to days before hand.

Well, I had expressed to her my gratitude for what she had done and she just fell into my arms, crying. That's my sister for ya. My MIL passed away 10 years ago on the same date BTW.

Mary, maybe you should print these pages out and send them to your sister to let her know that you are all being prayed for. I am sure she would appreciate knowing how much you are loved and also how much you love and appreciate her.

Mary, I just got back on here today. I'm so sorry about your mom. It doesn't matter how old you are, you are never ready to lose them.
-Hugs, Shy

What can I do this week that will make me healthier at the end of the week than I am right now?

When I told a friend of mine about my mom's passing, she said she doesn't know what she would do if her mom died and her mom is older than mine. My son has been telling me, on a daily basis, that he loves me. I think that it is because he wasn't ready for grandma to die and he realizes how wonderful his mom is Wink
