Is this a comprehensive list of blood tests?
Here's what I'm telling my (new) doctor tomorrow - he took over the old doc's practice, so I'm hoping he's on board with low-carb *sigh*
Tests I would like run with my bloodwork:
HbA1c
Vitamin D level
Serum insulin level
Blood lipid panel (with direct measurement of LDL and VLDL, not calculated)
SMA-24 (including fasting glucose, potassium level, kidney function, liver function, blood lipids, uric acid level)
CBC
Thyroid panel
Ferritin
C-peptide
Rheumatoid factor
Sed rate
Did I list anything redundant? I'm not sure if the blood lipids in the SMA-24 include things that a basic blood lipid panel does not, so I left them both in.

Mini-Goals:
340 pounds by 11/01/09; average BGL 105 mg/dl (5.8 mmol/dl) by 11/01/2009 MET 11/11/09
325 pounds by 12/01/09; average BGL 100 by 12/01/09 MET 11/24/09
To the human body, a spoonful of flour and a spoonful of sugar are identical.
Running your body primarily on glucose is like running a compact car primarily on rocket fuel. In the long run, the machine gets damaged beyond repair.
