Nuwave Oven
Hi,
![[Image: HHP_NuwaveProInfraredOven_HERO_300dpi.gif]](http://jumpintotomorrow.com/images/products/12/HHP_NuwaveProInfraredOven_HERO_300dpi.gif)
I just purchased a Nuwave Oven and it arrived yesterday. I read awesome reviews of this oven online and so far it has lived up to all the hype. It is a counter top unit that uses convection, infrared and conduction to cook food. I have already made the following:
Pork chops - really juicy and tender
Salmon burger - Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside
Creamy Eggs - (I broke two eggs into a ramekin then sprinkled old cheddar cheese on top then 2 tbsp of cream, salt and pepper - cook for 10 minutes) - Yummy! Creamy with a crust of crunchy brown on top.
Pork Belly - Crisp and brown
I got my oven from:
Nuwave Oven
There is free shipping to the U.S. so it is a good deal. If you are in Canada, shipping is extra but so worth it. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with a regular cookbook and a diet cookbook. The diet cookbook was all items that are low carb/high fat! That is where I got the creamy eggs recipe.
It is not fast like a microwave but it is a little quicker than an oven. I also like that you do not have to preheat the oven and it uses much less energy. It does not heat up the kitchen either. It sits right on your counter top and you can easily see the food you are cooking through the clear dome. Cooking bacon is great! No grease splatters on your stove top or in your oven. The clear dome is dishwasher safe making clean up easy.
No, I do not work for this company! I just love passing on information of when I find a really good product.
I am making beef jerky this afternoon (yes, it dehydrates too). Does anyone else have one of these? If so, have you created some yummy recipes? Please post them here if you have.
Thanks,
Val

RE: Nuwave Oven
Hi Linda,
The diameter is 12 inches. You can probably fit 4 average sized chops on one rack and 4 more on the bonus rack you get. The oven is $139.00 and you get the extender ring and other extras at no cost. These extras have a retail value of $125.00. The extras include the extender (so you can cook a bigger bird), a 2 inch rack, a 10 inch round pan for cookies, chicken in sauces, etc., two poultry shears, two recipe books and a pair of oven mitts. The $125.00 bonus also includes free shipping. I don't know if it is really worth $125.00 but it would be close. Basically it is just a sales gimic to make you think you are getting more than you are. I compared prices at several other sites. Some charge an arm and a leg for shipping. Some charge for the extender kit, some are higher priced. I did also see them on ebay for less but the shipping to Canada was high.
I just took my jerky out and it is fabulous. It took an hour to dehydrate it. I used two racks and rotated the pieces half way through.
I hope this info helps. Here is a fact page if you want more information.

RE: Nuwave Oven
I just got my NUWAVE oven last week. This thing is absolutely the best investment I have made. I have made the jerky too. It was really good and quick. I have a commercial food dehydrator, but this thing was great.
I roasted asparagus in it today...turned out perfect.
I did steak and chicken one night in it. The chicken went straight from the freezer to the rack and 12 minutes later (6 on each side) a beautifully grilled chicken breast.
I usually don't like things sitting on the counter. But this one hasn't moved and I have used it everyday..sometimes twice a day.
The creamy eggs sound great. I can't wait to try them.
If you are thinking about it. you won't regret it. And yes, I stimulated the economy....like I was suppose too....I bought mine from MySecretPantry

RE: Nuwave Oven
Hi,
I continue to fall further in love with my Nuwave. This morning I combined 2 eggs, cream, butter, cheese, onions, salt and pepper and blended them in my Magic Bullet. I poured the contents into a mini loaf pan and baked it in the Nuwave. What came out was divine. It was like the lightest, fluffiest, creamiest omelet I have ever tasted. There seemed to be so much compared to what I get when I scramble two eggs. I put three strips of bacon into the oven halfway through. Very yummy breakfast. Very convenient too, just put it in and forget about it. Easy clean up when it is all over.
My butcher has been saving chicken skins for me. We had fun roasting the skins with different seasonings. Lemon pepper was our favourite! They come out crispy in 20 minutes, it is like eating chips but tastier. We also roasted pork belly in their yesterday and it came out perfect. I have bought my share of useless kitchen gadgets over the years but this is certainly a treasure.
