Here is one I found when i googled. I've never tried these but I'm going to try them now. I use to make low carb bread in my machine but haven't in a while. Are these really tasty? They sound like it.... -CC

Thanks, CarbControl! I don't know if they are tasty or not but I have read many posts in here where people have used them for various things. ie. French Toast, hamburger buns, bread, etc., etc. So.. I thought I would try them out!

I tried them once as burger buns. It was kind of a novelty having an actual bun to hold in my hands after so many years of low carbing. But, after the first few bites I got kind of tired of the eggy taste and spongy texture and scrapped the rest of the bun. I've been back to bunless burgers ever since. Buns are highly overrated, LOL.

LindaSue - You ALWAYS make things look sooooo delicious!! I was wondering about the texture/taste. I don't need the buns on burgers or anything... I was thinking that it might make it more appealing to my kids. They are so picky so I'm guessing it won't fly with them, either! Tongue

My thought is why mask the delicious flavor of the burger and toppings with something bready? Having said that, why not try them once on your kids, beegee? There's nothing unhealthy about an Oopsie bun and kids sometimes do better with finger food than knives and forks.

I love oopsie rolls! I don't miss bread at all (10 years now), but the oopsie rolls are just plain good with hamburgers, hot dogs, toasted with cinnamon and splenda or any number of uses. I encourage you to try them at least once and see how you and your family likes them.

P.S.: Use Jimmy's link recommendation for Cleochatra's original oopsie rolls. --cr

I made oopsie buns the other day and they looked nothing like Linda Sues!! Those do look good. I have to say they were a bit spongy. They weren't bad, but just not what I was expecting. The recipe I had was very similar to the one Jimmy posted, I didn't use splenda though.

I had a recipe a while ago for some microwave tortillas you cook on parchment paper in the microwave that were really good. I can't remember where I found the recipe but I think I like those better, I need to find that recipe!

I guess I forgot about the bake mix, she did have a recipe for make your own bake mix down below and I do remember I did that and used just soy protein isolate, not sure if I'd make them now.

Not sure if you can tell by the photo but my buns are actually upside down. Maybe that's why mine look different than yours. Here is one that's right side up:

I had trouble making oopsies....but if you google FLOOPSIE....its basically the same thing without trying to "fold" the mixture. (Which always messes me up). I mix my FLOOPSIEs in the magic bullet and within 3 minutes they are in my muffin top pan and cooking. They come out very similar to an English Muffin.

I like to have them on hand, because I like the idea of having a "sandwich". LOL.

I also use them as pancakes with Davinci SF pancake syrup.

I tried making them last night (minus the sweetner). Not such a great attempt. They came out flatter than a pancake. But I ate one this morning slathered with some coconut oil and yum.

Sometimes, I just need something that gives me the sensation of bread. These buns come close.

I doubled the recipe and made buns with half. The other half, I added Stevia, a dash of vanilla, and a little cinnamon. I spread butter on the finished product and had a pretty good sweet roll.Big Grin
