I have been on in the induction phase now for 2 weeks today, weighed this morning and have lost 14lbs since I started. I have been taking the supplements that you suggested and just wonder if it is okay to stay in this phase of the diet for more than just the first 2 weeks? I have read both sides of the argument, some say you need to get off the diet every 2 weeks, some say you should only stay on the induction phase for 2 weeks only, some say stay on it all the way. I just feel like I have got to the point now that I have hardly any appetite, have tons more energy, and seem to be doing fine and if I can keep going at this rate I don't want to change anything????

Thanks

I was on it for four months and I know many of the low-carb researchers keep people on Induction for upwards of a year or so. If you can take it, then don't change what's not broke! Big Grin KEEP IT UP, Greenwood73!

I started Induction in the summer of 2007 and lost most of my weight during long stretches (months) on induction. Now there were some cheats in there during which I maintained, but even in the longest stretches of induction I experienced no ill effects. Listen to your body. It WILL tell you if you're doing what's not right by it. So long as you feel good, your body is telling you to keep on keeping on!

Congrats on 14 lbs!

I consider my diet lower than induction level carbs. I consider it to be ketogenic. Not only is it lower in carbs it is higher in fat than when I first began Atkins 6 years ago.I have kept it quite ketogenic for 2 years now.
