Advanced Low-Carber

A friend has asked me about Hoodia - I have never heard of it. She has had great success with Low Carb but the problem is now that she is on the pill and it is making her hungry.
Has anyone here used Hoodia ?

Hi Helena - I've never used it . Here's some info on it : hoodia

I prefer not to take anything like this - doesn't do much for my learning about my metabolism ,old eating habits and why I ate the way I used to . 's

One minute, one hour, one day, 1 pound at a time ...

I don't see the need for it.

Maybe your friend needs to add more fats ( meat fats , coconut oil ) into her plan - that stave's off hunger for me !

Advanced Low-Carber

She has tried a lot of different things - more oil etc - this works when she has her days off from the pill - as soon as she goes on it again in the month the hungry comes back within a 2 days and she says it is relentless - it is one of the side effects for her. She has only just gone onto after a break of 3 years and she was going great with Atkins - had lost about 30 pounds in 5 months. She has tried every pill on the market and she is on the lowest dose there is but still no luck with it.
I am never hungry these days - for me Atkins is the diet pill - one little bit of cheese or a few nuts is enough if I am hungry in the afternoon to get me to dinner but often these days I don't even need that ! Have even dropped my afternoon cuppa and just have water - it wasn't even by choice just happened that way.
