Hi!

I have 15 lbs left to lose; I've been maintaining for the last 3 or 4 months on my plan, which is the Carbohydrate Addict's diet. It works for me... but I know that I need to reduce that amount of food (and carbs) in my reward meal every day, in order to be able to lose the rest of this weight.

I was thinking about Walden Farms products and went to their website to see what they have to offer. I have heard people say that they enjoy the products; my question is, are they healthy? I would love to find Thousand Island dressing that has no carbs...

Thanks, guys!

I've used the Walden Farms products extensively, but don't count on them being luxurious-tasting. There's a reason they're very low carbs. There's no such thing as a very-low carb Thousand Island dressing either. It's best just to switch over Hidden Valley Ranch or oil and vinegar to save yourself a lot of disappointment.

Dana, although this isn't very low carbs, it's very low in carbs. You can adjust the sweetener and other ingredients to taste and it shouldn't affect the carbs much.

THOUSAND ISLAND
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons low carb ketchup
2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
Dash Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
Dash pepper

Mix all of the ingredients and chill to allow the flavors to blend.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups or 24 tablespoons

Per 2 Tablespoons: 169 Calories; 18g Fat; trace Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs

I use the catsup and the chocolate syrup all the time. The syrup goes in my morning hot egg drink (amongst other things) and the catsup goes in the 1000 island and into shrimp sauce.

I usually make it without the horseradish now because I prefer it that way.

SMOKY THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar free sweet pickle relish
2 tablespoons low carb ketchup
1 teaspoon horseradish
1 teaspoon mustard

Mix all ingredients well.

Makes 13 tablespoons

Linda,
thanks bunches for this low carb recipe. My DH LOVES Thousand Island dressing but has been settling for Ranch. He is also enjoying the lowcarb Green goddess dressing I have been making for him, but it nice to have choices.
