This came to me on night, thinking about how I can use this wonderful low carb veg.
Cut a turnip into shape of French fries, make them on the larger side, they tend to shrink a bit. Bast with your favorite oil such as olive or cmt oil. (Personally haven't used cmt oil yet just olive) then sprinkle garlic powder and garlic salt and bake for about an hour @ 325ish. Turn then once after about 30 mins.
I have yet to meet someone that doesn't like them.
Enjoy

Did you use white turnips or yellow (rutabega)?

The yellow ones. Sorry about that. If fact it seems certain times of the year the yellow ones almost seem white and not as sweet.
I just tried some sweet potatoes done the same way with MCT oil and they turned out awesome!
Enjoy.

I'll have to give this a try. The yellow turnips have more carbs than the white but I believe still much lower than potato, sweet or white.

This works surprisingly well with squash as well!
