I just found this recipe and plan on trying it. The idea of having a bagel with cream cheese or butter for breakfast really appeals to me. Anyway, she also demonstrates how to make it which is always nice.

Thanks for the post. I will give these a try as I've purchased a donut pan similar to the one shown in the video.

Maria Emmerich has also posted several bagel variations on her blog. Two are described at the following linK:

I tried the first version and plan to make them again. Will also try the other one along with the one you brought to our attention.

Wow, thanks! Those look great! I am going to try those for sure. All that advice on how to use guar gum and xanthan gum is helpful too.

Another thread here provides a suggestion for hamburger buns? I've made it twice and like them very much.
