Oh, I'm going up to Texas this weekend...may have to try one of those. Almost getting tired of nopal quesadillas (but not quite yet, lol)

Oops, forgot to mention that I'm FINALLY going to be picking up my 'boyfriend' (with me in my pic) from my ex...he's finally joining me in Mexico, Yaaaaaaaah! Back to walking twice a day, yippee! I've missed him!

Thanks for posting about this. Nice to know it's available in a grilled version. I might have to try it!

I finally got to try one and it was good. The first time I went to KFC, the grilling apparatus was down, so they didn't have anything grilled. Had to get a bunless Bacon Deluxe from Wendy's instead. But yesterday everything was working at KFC. I got the combo with green beans and added a side salad. YUM!

Check out Tom Naughton's post on the subject. He made sure all his affairs were in order before trying one because they will certainly kill you, at least that's what the PCRM propaganda says. He is still alive and has written 2 more blog posts since.

Tom ate the fried version. If that will kill you outright, I guess the grilled version will just give you a heart attack with that bacon & cheese in between. Well, it's been 26 hours and no heart attack yet.

Actually, this is a great idea. I think I will try my own version using some boneless chicken thighs pounded really thin and then grilled or cooked in the convection oven. Fill it with some bacon, pepper-jack cheese and spicy coleslaw.

I had the grilled one and it was almost awesome. The $6 pricetag killed some of the taste. Otherwise, very nice.

Sounds like a cordon bleu. We take the breasts and stuff them with ham or bacon and swiss or mozzarello cheese. Have been doing this for years. Very yummy. Try it at home and save that $6. ;-)

So, I tried it today. I had a grilled double down combo with green beans. I like my bacon crunchy so I ditched the limp slimy stuff & most of the cheese and sauce had slid off into the container so I ate the chicken with a knife & fork. I really liked it.
It had a nice flavor with a bit of a kick. I was definately stuffed and ate little at dinner tonight.

I will keep my eyes open for coupons...$7.57 was a bit pricey for lunch.

I think cordon bleu sounds yummy, gotta make it this weekend!

I didn't know they had a grilled version. Since the Hubs can't eat at KFC, I'll have to try this one when I'm running errands in town on my own. Also will have to try the cordon bleu...he'll eat that and think I've actually learned to cook!

Hey Thom, take your ham or bacon and wrap the cheese in the middle of it. Stuff it into the slit in the breast. Season with whatever you like. We also will put onions and garlic or green peppers in with it. We usually wrap them in foil for a while and then open up the foil towards the end. It keeps them nice and moist. We do these on the grill or in the oven. They are yummy. Enjoy!

Anything wrapped in bacon or with bacon stuffed inside it will taste good.

I finally tried the Double Down and I have to say I wasn
