Has anyone tried these? They haven't caused issues for me, but it really bothers me that the nutritionals don't add up (apparently not enough that I've stopped eating them...).

This is based on the label on the bags from my local GNC...though I've seen the same information on a label for a 2.5 oz bagel (online):
Serving:1 Bagel 3.8 oz., Calories 135, Calories from Fat 18, Total Fat 2g, Cholesterol: 0mg, Carbohydrates 13.7g, Dietary Fiber 7.5g, Sugars 0g, Sugar Alcohol .5g, Protein 1g, Sodium 180mg.

Anyway, just curious if anyone could get the math to work out (or knew a contact at the company!). Have a great night!

There are 28.25 carbs or 26 net carbs per bagel based on the nutritional info you posted.

Thanks - so are they subtracting part of the fiber? Or am I just missing something completely? The part where the NI was the same for a 2.5oz bagel and a 3.8oz bagel is what's really bothering me! I appreciate the help!

Even if the fiber was already deducted, I get a higher total carb count than what their numbers suggest. Can you post the ingredient list?

Thanks, again! Please don't go to much trouble for me - it's not that important, and if I start gaining, I'll stop eating (or on principle, if I determine that the company is intentionally being inaccurate or deceptive).
Ingredients: almond flour, soy flour, bran flour, whole wheat bran flour, oat flour, sesame flour, unbleached flour, vital flour wheat, wheat germ, salt, anise seeds, maltisweet, cream of tartar, egg whites, soybean oil, dry yeast, soy protein, water, fiber gum

It's hard to say if they are lying about the nutritional info, or if their numbers are just wrong, but all of those "flour" ingredients do have some carbs. I have no way of figuring out what the count should be. I just know that the hidden carb calculator says they've got 26 net carbs each based on the calories, fat, protein and carb numbers they have on the label.

I'm curious too as we have been ordering these every so often. They're advertised as 5.7 net carbs per bagel (interestingly, all of their bread products I believe are listed as 5.7 net carbs).

The product tastes good, we've enjoyed the onion pocket bread and the marble bagels. Here is a copy of their N.I. and the Ingredients.

Thanks for any info LindaSue!
